Secret Realm and Abyss activity selection

Mode comparison · Mage

Secret Realm or Abyss? Choose the Mage preset that fits the fight.

Use Secret Realm when movement between packs repeatedly breaks your attacks. Use Abyss when you can stay on one target and keep damage running. Load all four skills and the complete five-piece Inscription lineup together.

Choose in 30 seconds

The fight pattern decides which preset is practical.

SECRET REALM

You leave the target often.

Packs die, you move, then the next group starts a new damage window.

  • Prioritise effects that activate before you move again
  • Keep crowd control and area damage ready for each pack
  • Judge the preset by clear time and stage grade
ABYSS

You keep attacking one target.

A boss or durable target gives sustained skills and steady bonuses time to work.

  • Keep damage running through the rotation
  • Track forced movement and downtime
  • Judge the preset by repeatable boss results

Do not compare the two presets by one DPS number. Secret Realm tests movement and pack transitions; Abyss tests long target uptime.

The two presets

Skills and Inscriptions are the main switch shown here. Keep each four-skill bar with its own five-piece Inscription lineup.

Why they differ

The recorded Inscription effects explain why the presets behave differently.

The two plans share the same Core and one Support. Their other three Supports change how quickly the opening arrives and whether the bonus is permanent or proc-based.

01 · SHARED ENGINE

Vengeance Domain + Rapid Field

Vengeance opens the damage window. Rapid brings the Core's first activation forward.

  • Vengeance: +79.92% damage for 20s, then −8.64% for 60s.
  • Rapid: +1.92% permanent damage and 50% less initial Core cooldown.
02 · SECRET STARTING SUPPORTS

Daybreak + Lone Lamp + Quick

Daybreak and Lone Lamp are chance-based Damage Bonus windows. Quick brings another Core-opening reduction.

  • Daybreak: 25% chance when dealing damage to gain +8.16% Damage Bonus for 10s; at most once every 30s.
  • Lone Lamp: 10% chance when dealing damage to gain +7.21% Damage Bonus for 16s; at most once every 40s.
  • Quick: +1.91% permanent damage and 30% less initial Core cooldown.
03 · CAPTURED ABYSS SUPPORTS

Winterless + Life + Speed

Winterless, Life and Speed add permanent damage; Life and Speed also move the opening forward.

  • Winterless: +2.7% permanent damage.
  • Life: +2.33% permanent damage and 10% less initial cooldown for every Inscription.
  • Speed: +2.33% permanent damage; every Inscription starts 5s sooner.

Because Daybreak and Lone Lamp are procs, one Secret run can look unusually good or bad. Repeat the same stage before deciding.

Test before keeping it

Test in the real activity before keeping the preset.

The Training Ground can isolate a slot change. It cannot reproduce moving between packs, forced boss movement or stage clear time.

SECRET REALM CHECK

Repeat one real stage.

  1. Choose one stage and difficulty.
  2. Run the same route and full preset three times.
  3. Record clear time, grade and any death or interruption.
  4. Keep the change only if the pattern improves—not just the best proc run.
ABYSS CHECK

Repeat one real boss.

  1. Choose one boss and difficulty.
  2. Run the same full preset and conditions three times.
  3. Record total damage, DPS, source share and forced downtime.
  4. Keep the change only if the gain repeats and the fight remains stable.

Secret Realm

The four-skill bar follows the linked Mage guide. The five-piece Inscription lineup is this site's suggested starting point based on the recorded effect text; it still needs matched Secret Realm runs.
