RULE 06
Reroll Artifact Dungeon keys without wasting points
Every reroll costs 30 points before locks. A locked affix survives the roll, but its colour adds a surcharge every time you search the remaining slots.

What the game says
The basic reroll cost is 30 points. Locking an affix adds Green +10, Blue +15, Purple +20, Orange +25, or Red +30 to that roll.
The costs are additive: the recording shows 30 with no lock, 60 with one Red affix locked, and 80 with Purple and Red affixes locked together.
Locked affixes are protected during rerolling. Every unlocked affix is randomly replaced with a new result.
Buff affixes give positive effects. Challenge affixes add high-risk, high-reward conditions and appear only at World Level 80 or above.
Affix quality runs Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, then Red. Red quality can contain rare special affixes.
Two recorded examples are Energy Surge Lv.3, which restores 1.5 additional active-skill energy per second, and Raging Reaper, which gains 0.5% damage amplification and 1% movement speed per monster killed, up to 40 stacks.

Read the effect before the colour
Recovers 1.5 additional active-skill energy per second. An immediate, always-on effect.
Each monster killed grants +0.5% damage amplification and +1% movement speed, up to 40 stacks.
Make the change deliberately
Reroll unlocked lines at the 30-point base cost until a run-defining affix appears. Lock only the line you genuinely need, then spend the higher total to search the remaining slot. Match kill-stacking effects such as Raging Reaper to mob-heavy routes and value immediate effects more highly when the boss begins before stacks can build.
Protect the resources already spent
Do not lock a weak line merely because it is Purple, Orange, or Red. Colour raises the recurring reroll cost; the tooltip and the dungeon route decide whether that surcharge is worthwhile.
